This marks CAF T&E’s first project to be completed in this country. It will be specifically responsible for the design, management and completion of the transformation work for the 19,800m2 area making up the Depot, adapting it to meet the rolling stock refurbishment work requirements.
Among other aspects, it will work on:
- Removing the catenary.
- Converting the ballasted track into ballastless track.
- Installing the compressed air facility.
- Workshop electrical plant.
The contract the CAF Group has concluded with the national company NAT (National Authority for Tunnels) also includes the maintenance work for this new work area for more than five years.
