The Zaragoza Tram is a historic milestone for the CAF Group, as it is the first project to set URBOS trams into operation with on-board energy storage together with the installation of SCIE catenary-free ground level charging systems. The tram transports more than 28,000 people every day.
This project was awarded the best project of the year at the "Light Rail Awards 2012".
End customer and scope
- More than 20 years of design, construction and maintenance of the entire electrical infrastructure including substations, electrification and SCIE catenary-free tram charging systems.
